Iran-Israel Conflict: Recent Developments Review

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had launched a new round of missiles at Israel's energy infrastructure and warned that if Israel continues its evil and aggressive actions, "Iran will take more severe and broader retaliatory strikes."

The latest missile attack by Iran has caused at least three deaths in Israel, targeting multiple cities including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa.

This attack occurred after Israeli forces bombed the Shahran oil facility in Tehran, Iran's capital, causing a fire. Earlier on Saturday, Israel also attacked a gas field near Bushehr and an oil refinery in Abadan, but the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated that Iran's main uranium enrichment facility, Fordow, was not damaged.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed in a phone call that the conflict between Israel and Iran must end.

Iran canceled the sixth round of nuclear negotiations with the U.S., which was originally scheduled for Sunday, stating that continuing the talks made no sense given Israel's ongoing attacks.

A member of Iran's parliament said that the country is considering closing the Strait of Hormuz, a major transport route for key energy producers in the Gulf region.
