Ukrainian side has released an interrogation video of the assassin who killed the former head of the Verkhovna Rada, the former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Parubiy. The assassin, named Mykola Tselinikov, stated in the interrogation that he was not coerced by the Russian intelligence agency, and the assassination of Parubiy was his personal act. He said he simply disliked Parubiy and wanted to kill him, and it had nothing to do with the Russian intelligence agency.

Tselinikov also said he also wanted to kill Poroshenko, and if he were in Vinnytsia, he would have already taken action against Poroshenko. Tselinikov hopes the Ukrainian court will sentence him quickly so he can be exchanged for prisoners of war, allowing him to go to Russia to find the remains of his son who went missing on the battlefield.

About Tselinikov's motive for killing, there are all sorts of opinions. Some say that Tselinikov's son is a programmer who was conscripted and died in the Bachmut area, and was listed as missing, leading Tselinikov to be filled with hatred for government officials. Others say that Tselinikov's son is a neo-Nazi, who died on the front line, and Tselinikov believes that figures like Parubiy, the neo-Nazi leaders, misled his son, and has always wanted to kill him.
