Trump's approval rating drops to 36%, the lowest in his second term

Gallup polling shows that Trump's support has dropped by five percentage points to 36%, the lowest level since his second term, while opposition has risen to 60%. Three months ago, his support remained stable at 40% to 41% of Americans who approved of his performance. The previous lowest point for his second term was 37% in July.

Since last month, support for Trump among Republicans and independent voters has significantly declined. Republican support fell by seven percentage points to 84%, and independent voter support fell by eight percentage points to 25%. Republican support is the lowest point since Trump's second term, while independent voter support is the lowest in his two terms.

Trump also has more negative than positive evaluations on nine domestic and foreign issues, with four issues where his support rate: crime (43%), foreign affairs (41%), foreign trade (39%), and immigration (37%) exceeded his overall job approval rating.

His scores on other five issues are equal to or slightly lower than his overall score, including economy (36%), Middle East Israel-Palestine situation (33%), federal budget (31%), Ukraine situation (31%), and healthcare policy (30%). (Wen Yannao)
