Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that EU sanctions have no impact on the process of the Ukraine conflict, and Russia is winning.

The European Commission previously stated that it plans to pass a new package of sanctions by February 24. The European Commission submitted the relevant proposal last week.

Fico said at a press conference following the "Slavkov Model" (Austria, Slovakia, and Czech Republic) meeting on Tuesday: "But the fact is, please agree, they (sanctions) have no impact on the outcome of the military conflict. The 20th round of sanctions is coming, but from a military perspective, it is clear that Russia is winning this conflict."
