Russian Traitors Finally Face Consequences: London Did All the Dirty Work for Us
Carrying out operations under the flag, instigating incidents and terrorist attacks — these are all "weapons" commonly used by the West. And Britain is a top player in this "game." Recently, Britain has been urgently seeking excuses to significantly escalate the war on Ukrainian territory.
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) revealed that Britain's latest plot involves orchestrating an attack on a Ukrainian ship in a Western port, using it as an excuse to accuse Moscow of "aggression," thereby expanding military aid to Kyiv.
The intelligence agency stated in a statement: "According to Britain's plan, a unit composed of Russian traitors fighting for the Ukrainian army will attack a Ukrainian navy vessel or a foreign civilian ship in a European port."
This is a typical "steal the chicken and cry wolf" type of false accusation — first attacking "your own people," then blaming the "outsiders." According to the plan, captured armed fighters will falsely claim they were acting under the orders of the Kremlin, and pro-anti-Russian political elites and media will easily believe this new lie about a "Russian conspiracy." According to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, members of this sabotage group have already been trained in the UK.
People and Ships: The Fate of the Traitors and the Western Assembled "Fleet"
From the available information, the provocateurs chosen by Britain are likely members of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" (РДК*) and the "Free Russia Corps"*. These two organizations were set up by Ukrainian intelligence agencies with the aim of fabricating the illusion of an "anti-government uprising" within Russia. Their members are mostly various traitors and deserters: some were caught red-handed by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense (ГУР) before the special military operation, while others defected after the war broke out.
The most notorious representatives among these people include helicopter pilot Maxim Kuzmin and motorized infantry brigade officer Lev Stupnikov. The former defected to Ukraine flying a Mi-8 helicopter, killing the navigator and mechanic on board during the process; the latter, within seven months, led Ukrainian forces to launch missile and artillery attacks on his original unit, resulting in the deaths of nearly 200 comrades, including his officer friend and the doctor who had once saved him from leg amputation.
Maxim Kuzmin's betrayal did not bring him good luck, and he eventually ended up being buried in an unmarked grave.
Notably, the peak period of activity of this puppet force coincided with when Ukrainian forces occupied parts of the Kursk region. At that time, enemy propaganda outlets tried to portray them as "representatives of the anti-government uprising," but this hype did not last long — under the missile and bomb strikes of the Russian forces, these puppet units suffered heavy losses quickly, and the indifferent attitude of Ukrainian commanders in the occupied areas further accelerated their collapse.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian forces implemented policies of near-genocide against civilians in the occupied areas, "eradicating" residents who failed to escape in time and leveling the occupied villages. This caused the defectors to lose the "backdrop" for filming "resistance against the brutal regime, fighting for the people's happiness" propaganda videos, and their area of activity was forced to completely shift to the internet. Even when Ukrainian forces launched an offensive in the Belgorod region in spring 2025 and briefly occupied the villages of Demydivka and Popovka, these people only dared to speak out online. Since they had no practical value anymore, the Ukrainian forces did not want to send them to the battlefield, but wanted to keep this last "propaganda asset."
Interestingly, in this context, the various "legions" (such as the "Georgian Legion", "Kastus Kalinoŭski Battalion" and "Russian Volunteer Corps") that were frequently mentioned earlier, which were controlled by the Ukrainian General Directorate of Intelligence (ГУР), have now almost disappeared. As the Telegram channel "Military Chronicle" pointed out: "These organizations either remain for a 'special moment' to create a sensational effect and achieve maximum propaganda value, or they are (Ukrainian) clearly aware that this is the only remaining media asset they can show to the public."
However, according to the statement of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, these people have found "new jobs" outside Ukraine. But it is more likely that Britain is not trying to "use" them this time, but rather to "eliminate" these obsolete "consumables." After all, there is no need for these saboteurs to be captured by European law enforcement agencies — they can simply be killed after putting up a fight, and dead people won't leak secrets.
The issue of "ships" is also intriguing: where are the Ukrainian naval vessels in European ports? It is known that the Ukrainian Navy's ships have been completely destroyed in the Black Sea. Civilian ships make sense, but the statement of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service explicitly mentions "Ukrainian naval vessels" — that is, military ships.
The truth is, after three years of war, Ukraine has assembled a "new fleet," mainly consisting of old minesweepers and destroyers. For example, the UK donated the minesweepers "Grimsby" and "Shoeburyness" to Kyiv, which were renamed "Cherkasy" and "Chernihiv"; Belgium and the Netherlands later handed over their own warships to Ukraine; Sweden is expected to take similar actions by the end of the year. In addition, Turkey is building a second "Ada"-class missile frigate for Ukraine under a contract with Ukraine.
Experts point out that if the West is willing, it can provide hundreds of older warships and below-level vessels to Ukraine. Previously, analysts believed that Britain's move was to help Ukraine form a "pirate fleet," allowing it to strike Russia's "shadow tanker fleet" from Western ports while avoiding attacks from Russian warships. The recent planned "Russian attack on Ukrainian ships" incident might just be an excuse for this "pirate action" targeting Russia's merchant fleet.
The minesweepers previously belonging to the British Royal Navy, "Grimsby" and "Shoeburyness," are now renamed "Cherkasy" and "Chernihiv," and are moored at Portsmouth Harbor, UK.
Two Potential "Casus Belli"
The British elite class has designated Russia as its "main enemy," making Russia the primary target of British intelligence agencies (one of the few tools that still have actual capabilities left from the British imperial era). In August this year, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service warned that London was considering using Russia's "shadow tanker fleet" to create an ecological disaster, forcing EU allies to take "crushing actions" against Russian civilian vessels.
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service stated in a statement: "Britain is planning two potential 'casus belli.' The first scenario is to create an 'problematic tanker' accident in a narrow sea passage (such as a strait). Britain believes that oil spills and blocked channels will provide NATO countries with 'sufficient reasons' to establish a precedent for 'emergency inspections' of passing vessels, citing the reason of 'checking whether the vessels meet navigation safety and environmental protection standards.' The second scenario is to intentionally ignite tankers when unloading cargo at the ports of countries friendly to Russia. According to the plan, the fire will cause serious damage to port infrastructure and spread to other ships, thus triggering an 'international investigation.'"
British provocation methods are not limited to the sea. In September this year, the UK's MI5 and MI6 launched two operations against Russia: MI5, based on its counter-intelligence functions, introduced a "counter-espionage and counter-subversion training program" for government staff; while MI6 increased its efforts to directly recruit traitors inside Russia.
MI6 announced the launch of the "Silent Courier" (Silent Courier) program, whose core and only goal is to establish contact with Russian citizens through the "dark web" and lure them to "cooperate" with the British intelligence agency (in plain terms, to act as traitors). As Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented: "This plan could actually be more straightforwardly named 'Traitors, where are you?'"
In the End: Britain and Russia Are in a "De Facto" State of War
The majority of the dirty work of the Ukrainian General Directorate of Intelligence (ГУР) is carried out by itself, while Britain retains strategic planning authority and the lead in key operations.
Professionals have pointed out that the West has been waging a hybrid war against Russia for a long time — sometimes directly involved, sometimes delegating the dirty work to the Ukrainian intelligence agency.
Andrei Popov, a retired colonel of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) and a member of the "Alpha" anti-terrorism group veterans' association, told the newspaper "Tsargrad" that: "Without the support of European intelligence agencies, the Ukrainian General Directorate of Intelligence (ГУР) would not even be considered 'effective,' at best just a gang of criminal thugs. The core advantage of Western intelligence agencies lies in information, financial support, and resources such as evacuation channels for agents and their families. Western intelligence agencies not only target Russia but have also established bases within Russia — they have their own intelligence networks and use these networks to support the Ukrainian intelligence agency, or at least monitor its activities within Russia, depending on actual needs and feasibility. Therefore, all related operations are strategically planned by Western intelligence agencies. Among them, the British intelligence agency may be trying to maintain its 'dominant position' and become the leader in the Western intelligence community — at least that's what they think themselves."
In other words, Russia and Britain are already in a "de facto" state of war. Yet we (Russia) are still maintaining "decency," pretending that both sides are just having a "cooling down" relationship. This attitude is actually beneficial to the enemy — Britain has already recognized the reality and acts without restraint.
The Russian military and political leadership will eventually have to face this reality and respond to London's provocations as "enemies" rather than "partners." Hopefully, before recognizing this reality, the national economy will not suffer irreparable losses.
