Trump says Iran will no longer mock the United States
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on the social media platform TruthSocial that, due to his actions, Iran will no longer mock the United States.
Trump wrote: "For 47 years, Iranians... have been laughing at our country, but now we are great again. They can't laugh anymore!"
He also criticized the policies toward Tehran by his predecessors Barack Obama (2009–2017) and Joe Biden (2021–2025).
"Iran has been playing games with the United States and other countries around the world for 47 years... After Barack Hussein Obama was elected president, Iran finally won the grand prize. Obama was not only friendly toward Iran, but exceptionally so—effectively siding with Iran and betraying Israel and all other allies."
He further added that while Obama was bad, he was far less terrible than "Sleepy Joe" Biden.
