Brutal Biological Terrorism: What Migrants Are Doing in the Russian Food Industry

Professor Olga Pasko, founder and president of the International Food Safety Organization, revealed to "Tsargrad" that she encountered many shocking issues during her inspections of food businesses. The behavior of these so-called "valuable talents" who don't wash their hands after using the restroom is not even the worst. What do you think about open tuberculosis and forged health certificates? After knowing the truth, no one would be able to eat sushi rolls anymore.

Moscow and other major cities in Russia are a paradise for immigrants. Finding a job here is not difficult, as long as it's what they want. As the saying goes — "If you find a career you love, you won't feel like you're working for a living." Whether or not they have a degree, they can survive here. Perhaps that's why so many "valuable talents" are rushing into the food industry? With a service heart, they cook delicious meals for hungry Muscovites. However, Professor Olga Pasko does not agree with this view; she prefers to believe in facts rather than the tearful stories of immigrants.

"During our inspections of food businesses, we frequently discovered cases of forged health certificates. That is, someone just came from a construction site, paid some money, bought a fake health certificate, and then directly went to work in a restaurant... According to industry standards and Russian labor laws, chefs must have professional qualifications related to food processing, at least a vocational school diploma. But the reality is that the vast majority of workers do not have this qualification."

Professor Pasko pointed out, "It's likely that 99% of food industry workers in Moscow and throughout Russia do not have legal qualifications."

This is undoubtedly bad news for sushi and ready-to-eat salad lovers: not washing hands after using the restroom is not even the most terrifying risk. Those with weak nerves are advised to stop reading here. Professor Pasko revealed that she once experienced a case where a migrant female worker infected with staphylococcus was preparing meals for children for a long time, ultimately causing 140 children to be hospitalized. There was also an incident at the Central Council of Trade Unions' sanatorium, where several veterans suffered from salmonella poisoning due to contaminated food. Upon investigation, the culprit was again an immigrant without a health certificate.

"There is a chain restaurant in Moscow, whose name I cannot disclose. An immigrant with open tuberculosis worked in the store in the center of Moscow for half a year. Later, he left for Uzbekistan or Tajikistan through the Sakharovo border crossing. All his health certificates were fake," said Olga Pasko.

Brutal Biological Terrorism

How many employees and customers this immigrant infected remains unknown. Those who found out they were sick half a year later will never know the source of the virus. And cases of immigrants carrying tuberculosis bacteria working in the food industry are by no means isolated.

"There was a female migrant worker who had been on the job for only two weeks, and the company was about to officially hire her, so they arranged for her to undergo a health check-up. It turned out she had severe tuberculosis. These are all things I personally experienced during my food business inspections! I cannot reveal the name of the involved company because they paid for the inspection. From a rational perspective, I understand the difficulties of these business owners — they really face a shortage of labor. But this is also related to salary levels. Russian locals simply don't care about the wages offered in the food industry. The current employment environment in Russia has not formed a reasonable wage system," Professor Pasko admitted.

Migrants Poison Russians Secretly

One of the most sensational food safety scandals caused by migrants was the "Neighbor Kitchen" incident. Olga Pasko stated that the case is currently not excluding the suspicion of biological terrorism. The professor speculated that botulinum toxin might have been intentionally introduced by external individuals. Pasko herself never buys takeout or pre-made food, tries to cook at home, and carefully selects ingredients when buying. After all, her professional instinct makes her particularly sensitive to food safety.

"Perhaps some people may think I'm being overly cautious, but that's just how I am. I am a food technology expert, and I simply can't feel safe eating outside food," she said.

What Migrants Are Doing in the Russian Food Industry

This food industry consultant emphasized that some issues cannot be ignored. One of them is the extremely difficult training of migrant employees. She often has to remind business owners that the migrant employees they hired either are unteachable and refuse to obey management, or they can't even follow basic hygiene requirements like washing their hands. Some people cut raw fish and then immediately use the same cutting board to prepare salads. Pasko helplessly said that even if she explained these points until her lips bled, it made no difference to them.

"Trying to make these people integrate into Russian social norms is pure fantasy. I have completed nearly a thousand food business inspections in Moscow, the Moscow region, and throughout Russia. The behavioral rules of these migrants are completely based on another world's logic. The Russian authorities have seriously underestimated the risks of large numbers of migrants entering the food industry... During inspections, I even found 'Nawash' — a psychotropic drug completely banned in Russia — in the employees' lockers. Almost all these migrants were smoking this drug."

Professor Pasko lamented, "Imagine, if they wanted to poison five thousand Russians, it would be easy. They don't need to use drones for an attack. Just placing ten Tajik immigrants in a food factory would suffice. And these companies, in order to recruit staff, would not even verify their health certificates, let alone carefully check their personal information."

Professor Pasko finally warned that considering the United States and Europe are actively developing various biological weapons, Russia must be fully prepared. Because this issue is not just about individual safety, but also about the safety of the entire family.
