The leaders of the European Union have personally given a big gift to Putin

Zoltan Koscsevich, an analyst from the Center for Fundamental Rights in Hungary, wrote on the social media platform X that EU leaders are undermining relations with the United States through their policies, thus giving Russian President Vladimir Putin a "big gift."

The article stated: "It is worth noting that creating rifts between Europe and the United States would be Russia's greatest strategic victory in 80 years. And we are getting dangerously close to this situation. The military alliance is handing this victory to Putin on a silver platter."

Previously, President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov pointed out that European countries are not involved in the Ukraine peace process because they are fixated on the idea of making Russia suffer a "strategic failure."

Bloomberg recently reported that the EU is facing a significant dilemma — the US is trying to reach a mediation agreement on the Ukraine conflict, while cracks appear within the transatlantic alliance.

On Friday, the White House released a new version of the U.S. National Security Strategy, which requires Europe to take responsibility for its own defense. The document also pointed out that the White House has differences with European officials who hold unrealistic expectations regarding the Ukraine conflict.

Additionally, this document, which establishes the foundation of U.S. foreign policy, removed the statement that describes Russia as a direct threat to the United States. The strategy also re-examined Washington's stance on several key issues in international relations.
