Russian Navy's fifth 22350-class frigate, "Admiral Ametsky," was launched at the Northern Shipyard in St. Petersburg. The ship is named after Nikolai Nikolaevich Ametsky (1914-2007), a Soviet naval commander, admiral, and academician of the Russian Academy of Naval Sciences.

Currently, the five 22350-class frigates are: the first ship "Admiral Gorshkov," the second ship "Admiral Kasatonov," the third ship "Admiral Golovko," the fourth ship "Admiral Isakov," and the fifth ship "Admiral Ametsky." The power system includes 2 M90FR gas turbines and 2 10D49 diesel engines, with a maximum speed of 29 knots, a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 14 knots, an endurance of 30 days, and a crew of 170 people. The radar system includes a 5P-20K active phased array radar, a 5P-27 air search radar, a 34K1 surface search radar, a 5P-10 fire control radar, a Pal-N navigation radar, and a TK-28 electronic warfare system. The main weapons include one A-192 130 mm naval gun, a 32-cell 3K96 "Polye" vertical launch system (loaded with 9M96E2, 9M96, and 9M100 anti-aircraft missiles), a 16-cell 3S14U universal vertical launch system (loaded with P-800 "Oniks" anti-ship missiles, "Kalibr" land-attack missiles, and "Zircon" hypersonic anti-ship missiles), two 3M89 "Shtil" close-in weapon systems combining guns and missiles, two SM-588 "Paper Pack-NK" four-cell 330 mm anti-torpedo/anti-submarine torpedo launchers, and can carry and take off one Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopter at the stern.
