Lessons bought with blood: Russian Army Reinstates Motorcycle Companies from the Great Patriotic War!
After suffering huge losses during the initial large-scale mobilization in the special military operation, Russia's army has accumulated experience in using single riders on motorcycles for combat. The Russian Army has decided to restore the special motorcycle companies from the era of the Great Patriotic War, integrating them into motorized rifle battalions.
The main tasks of the motorcycle company are to conduct突击 against enemy positions, as well as reconnaissance, evacuation, and supply, especially when large attack equipment cannot reach the area, but a quick arrival at the enemy's position is needed. Motorcycles become a key weapon for victory. In the harsh traffic conditions in eastern Ukraine, motorcycles can play an unexpected role.
Before being deployed to the front line, the soldiers of the motorcycle company will undergo one month of training. During this period, they not only need to be proficient in riding motorcycles, but also receive training in camouflage and orientation, withdrawal, assault, and defense against drones in urban, forest, and field environments.
At the same time that the motorcycle company was established, the Russian military has already started to compile tactical and strategic textbooks for the motorcycle forces. So far, the motorcycles have performed well in the conflict. Previously, Ukraine ridiculed Russia for being forced to replace modern armored vehicles with old motorcycles, but now it has also begun to establish its own motorcycle forces.
