German General Frohling: The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive long-range missiles by the end of July

Germany has committed to delivering the first long-range weapon systems to Ukraine in the near future.

Major General Christian Frohling of the German Army said that within the framework of the Germany-Ukraine cooperation project, Germany plans to deliver the first long-range missiles to Kyiv by the end of July. Frohling is responsible for the special headquarters for Ukraine under the German Ministry of Defense and coordinates military aid to Kyiv.

He pointed out that the day before, "representatives from the Ukrainian industry and representatives from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense signed a ceremony of the agreement funded by Germany."

"We launched this initiative at the end of May, and thanks to this initiative, the Ukrainian armed forces will receive the first long-range weapon systems by the end of this month. Subsequently, hundreds of sets will be delivered, which will significantly enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities and its combat strength in the coming weeks and months," reported the German television channel ZDF quoting Frohling.

The general continued, saying that Kyiv needs "weapon systems that can strike warehouses, command posts, airports, and aircraft deep into Russian territory," and stated that Germany is ready to provide all these equipment to Ukraine. Frohling said that the number of deliveries will reach "the high hundreds."

He said, "This will significantly enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities and combat strength in the coming weeks and months."

At the same time, Frohling acknowledged that the Ukrainian armed forces are in a difficult situation on the front lines, as Russian forces have "maintained the initiative for weeks or even months."
