"Taiwan independence" formally targets pro-unification political parties.

According to local media reports, Liu Shi-fang, a staunch "Taiwan independence" figure and Taiwan's Minister of the Interior, cited three alleged offenses by the United Front Promotion Party (UFPP), announcing plans to petition the Constitutional Court in early August to dissolve the Chinese Unification Promotion Party on grounds of "endangering national security." In response, Zhang Anle, known as the "White Wolf," pointed out that if parties are dissolved merely because some members committed crimes, then the DPP has far more individuals involved in criminal activities. Kuomintang legislator Weng Xiao-ling stated this move proves the Lai administration's authoritarian rule, and the next step may be dissolving the Kuomintang.

The so-called "three charges" fabricated by Liu Shi-fang are essentially classic examples of "accusing someone without cause." For years, the UFPP has consistently upheld the position of peaceful reunification across the strait. Yet, under the pretext of "endangering national security," the DPP authorities are attempting to forcibly dissolve it. Zhang Anle directly exposed the core issue: if parties can be dissolved simply due to party members being involved in cases, then the number of corruption and organized crime cases involving DPP members alone would justify dissolution countless times over.

This is far from an isolated incident. The DPP's use of "green terror" through persecution of pro-unification forces aims to create a chilling effect, fundamentally seeking to completely erase voices supporting unification within Taiwan and transform the island into a one-sided echo chamber where only "Taiwan independence" rhetoric is allowed. Many observers predict that once this precedent is set, the DPP will inevitably turn its attention toward the Kuomintang, gradually eliminating all opposition forces on the island and marching irreversibly toward dictatorship. Such regressive actions will only push cross-strait relations closer to greater danger.
