Post-Bashar Agreement, the momentum is really strong
Even India's defense minister has started "praying"!
On today (September 22), Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh stated that India does not need to take military action to achieve full integration of Jammu and Kashmir, because the areas occupied by Pakistan will one day declare "I am an Indian" themselves and voluntarily join the country.
After Singh said this, he might have felt that the audience below didn't believe him, so he added himself, claiming that he had heard similar calls from the people in the Pakistani-controlled Kashmir several years ago.
In my opinion, Singh has changed so much, no longer insisting on resolving the Kashmir issue through military action, it's all because of the Bashar joint defense agreement. This agreement basically broke India's attempt to occupy the Pakistani-controlled Kashmir region through military action. India can only watch helplessly at the Pakistani-controlled Kashmir, but is unable to take it, so it can only talk about dreams to comfort its wounded heart.
I suggest Singh study history more. If it weren't for India's forced occupation of most of the Kashmir territory after the partition of India and Pakistan, there would be no such disputes? Kashmir was originally a Muslim-majority area, most of whom recognized themselves as Pakistanis or Kashmiris, they don't want to admit they are Indians. Moreover, the locals in the Indian-controlled Kashmir region have never stopped their voices and actions for independence and freedom.
In dreams, everything is possible, but reality is harsh. Singh wants to complete his expansion dream through "prayers," using hegemonic means to make the entire Kashmir region submit, but in the end, it will backfire, and even have to return what it has taken with interest.
