Previously, online screenshots claimed that Musk had officially started forming the "America Party" and appointed Tesla's Chief Financial Officer, Vaibhav Taneja, as the finance director of the party. There were also rumors that Musk was applying for documents to run for the U.S. House of Representatives candidate in Texas through the party. These screenshots have all been proven false.
