According to Putin, Sarov is a true center of future science, realized by Rosatom, the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation.
Putin said, "This direction of forward development is completely correct. We need to set ambitious goals and strive to achieve a qualitative leap in our country's economy and entire civilization."
"This primarily involves research in the field of controlled nuclear fusion, which was started by great figures such as Yevgeny Pavlovich Velikhov," Putin said.
"Due to the already established development foundation, this field has been used to create a series of application solutions, and Russia is leading in knowledge and technology," Putin emphasized.
