Foreign media: Apple's expansion plan in India has encountered setbacks, with its assembly partner Foxconn recalling about 300 Chinese engineers from Indian factories, which is the second similar move in several months.

Foxconn has started to dispatch engineers from Taiwan to fill the vacancies. Previously, China had verbally requested to restrict technology transfer and equipment exports to India and Southeast Asia to prevent the offshoring of manufacturing.

The factory where the recalled engineers worked mainly produces metal casings and display modules for older models of iPhones and has not yet participated in the production of the latest iPhone 17.
