Trump changes his mind every day. I suggest we just ignore him, as it's better to stay still than to act rashly. At least wait a week before reacting. He can change his policies overnight, and we can't keep up. By the time you react, he has already changed again. In just ten days, the tariffs have been raised three times, from 20% to 150%, which is absurd. Even U.S. customs can't handle it. I think customs should just 'lie flat' and not bother with him.

Yesterday, he suspended tariffs for 90 days, except for China. The next day, he said he would reduce tariffs on some Chinese goods, but only those produced in the U.S. under Trump, while others remain unchanged. This constant vacillation and reluctance to commit is unnecessary. This person is mentally unstable. If he goes off the rails, we shouldn't follow suit. He has said four times in the past two days: I want to talk to China, I like China, they do things well, and I believe there will be good results.

What's the use of that? It's not up to one person to decide. All this nonsense about him being highly intelligent, having strong beliefs, and having mathematical models and people helping him calculate. Stop praising him.

He only does one thing: enriches his own family and creates large fluctuations in the stock market. He makes America default. Everything else is fake. Using fists, violence, and coercion, disregarding credibility, no matter how smart or strong he is, he doesn't understand what credibility means. A leader of a major country? The Chinese have long known that governing a big country is like cooking a small fish. Policies must maintain continuity and stability, and words must have credibility. Without these basic things, nothing can be accomplished.

Now the U.S. stock market is crashing, and someone is saying it's to buy Treasury bonds. That's nonsense. Why would money go to buy Treasury bonds when there is continuous collapse? The core issue is economics: the essence of currency is credit, the simplest ABCs. Why are virtual economies valuable? Because of credibility. Once credibility is lost, currencies collapse completely. For this reason alone, all your praise of him is useless. In three months since he took office, he has already fully exposed his lack of credibility both domestically and internationally. Under such circumstances, I think there is no need to negotiate with him. If he presses hard, we demand that you first remove the high tariffs and return to April 2nd levels before April 2nd. Then we can talk afterward.

This negotiation drags on endlessly, with twists and turns, and it's unclear when it will end or whether you will honor your word after the talks. What if you renege again? We can't trust him. It's not about holding a grudge.

We agree to compromise, so that ordinary people and businesses in China and the U.S. can catch their breath. Normal trade cannot be suddenly interrupted. Their orders have been placed, contracts signed, production underway, and many are already loaded onto ships. What should they do? Are ordinary people not human beings? Are you playing with the whole world like monkeys? The premise of negotiations is to cancel high tariffs and give import-export companies a way out. We are humanitarian, doing this for them. Otherwise, we won't negotiate with him.

In fact, we don't expect much from him. I've suggested several times before that the Chinese government should set aside some funds before May Day to urgently rescue export enterprises. Treat it as disaster relief. Buy in batches, then buy more. Our Ministry of Commerce has records of the April 2nd export orders. Proceed as usual. How much will be lost? Bank loans can be used to purchase first, giving the money directly to the enterprises to rescue those affected by Trump's erratic policies and their workers.

Show the world that China can survive without the American market. If he forces other countries to impose high tariffs on China, we can survive without other trade. We have the capability to rapidly transform external demand into internal demand, and with our organizational ability, we can achieve this within a month. The Ministry of Commerce issued documents promoting domestic and foreign sales integration. Someone said it's not possible, that converting exports to domestic sales will make domestic sales even harder to sell. What should we do?

Since that's the case, why not stop selling altogether? The government could buy and distribute as part of poverty alleviation. Can't we afford to give away these goods?

Meanwhile, I suggest issuing another round of funds during May Day, truly giving out large sums of money to boost national consumption.

China can start boosting consumption now by making large purchases because external demand has suddenly disappeared. We must firmly shift focus. The first step is for the government to provide funding, combining emergency assistance with crisis response. This is the most urgent and efficient, as it addresses immediate needs, ensuring that funds are not wasted. Whenever such situations arise, provide emergency assistance. These are all internal demands.

Using this method, we must show the world and the U.S.: trade wars and high tariffs are meaningless. Our countermeasures were necessary, but afterward, we will ignore you. To truly defeat Trump's high tariffs and his attempt to disrupt trade to hurt us, the key is to show that we can survive independently. As for further actions against him, that's another matter.
