Sputnik News, United Nations, March 1 - Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, stated that hundreds of people have been killed or injured in the attacks launched by the US and Israel against Iran.

Iravani said at a meeting of the UN Security Council: "Hundreds of civilians have been killed or injured in this brutal armed attack."

He also pointed out that the US and Israel caused the death of more than 100 children when they attacked a school in Iran, which is a crime against humanity.

Iravani expressed gratitude to some countries, including Russia, for condemning the military aggression by the US and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iravani said: "I thank the members of the Security Council, including China, Pakistan, and the Russian Federation, who today upheld their principled position and condemned this illegal act (the aggression against Iran)."
