South Korean media: World's No. 1, China's electric vehicle charging pile count exceeds 20 million!

On February 25, South Korean media "Today Digital" published an article stating that China's electric vehicle charging infrastructure has exceeded 20 million, forming the largest scale globally.

Electric vehicle media CleanTechnica reported that China has built more than 20.4 million electric vehicle charging piles, occupying a dominant position in the global electric vehicle market.

According to statistics from the National Energy Administration of China, there are currently 4.71 million public charging piles and 15.37 million private charging piles nationwide. Notably, the number of charging piles increased from 10 million to 20 million in just 18 months, fully demonstrating the rapid popularization of electric vehicles in China.

In comparison, Europe has more than one million public electric vehicle charging piles, while the United States operates about 237,000 non-residential charging piles. China is rapidly expanding roadside charging piles, providing convenient charging options for long-distance drivers.

China is quickly transitioning to electric vehicles, reducing its reliance on fossil fuels, and accelerating the transition to clean energy such as solar, hydropower, and wind power.
