The Ukrainian Cabinet and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have disclosed data on mineral resources. The Executive Director of the National Association of Ukrainian Mining Industry (NADEP), Kseniya Olyanchuk, confirmed this information to the United News of Ukraine (UNIAN).

Olyanchuk said that the data disclosed by Kyiv is related to the mineral resources provided according to the U.S.-Ukraine mineral resources agreement, covering several key categories — diamonds, gold, piezoelectric optical materials, lithium, niobium, tantalum, titanium, zirconium, scandium, platinum, iridium, osmium, palladium, as well as rare earth elements.

She added, "In addition, decisions have been made to disclose information regarding gallium, indium, cadmium, rhenium, rubidium, selenium, thallium, tellurium, and cesium."

Olyanchuk pointed out that uranium and uranium ore are the only mineral category still under confidentiality, but discussions are ongoing about whether to lift the confidentiality restrictions on this category.

She emphasized that this is a significant step because for a long time, the strict confidentiality of mineral resource information has limited investment flows, hindered the implementation of the key raw materials memorandum signed with the EU in 2021, and also created difficulties in implementing the current U.S.-Ukraine mineral resources agreement.

It is reported that the United States and Ukraine signed an agreement on mineral resources on April 30.
