Trump Accuses Iran of Attempting Drone Attack on Indian Vessels

Former U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his self-created social platform, "Truth Social," accusing Iran of attempting to conduct a drone attack on Indian vessels near the Strait of Hormuz, calling such actions "absolutely unacceptable."

Trump wrote: "They launched drone attacks last night against Indian vessels exiting the Strait of Hormuz, and although the attacks were completely thwarted, this is still absolutely unacceptable." However, he provided no evidence regarding this incident.

Previously, Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin cited a senior official stating that the United States shot down two Iranian drones, reportedly en route to attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The nationality of the vessels was not disclosed. Neither the Pentagon nor the White House has issued an official response to this report.

Additionally, on Thursday, Trump said he had canceled the planned bombing campaign against Iran scheduled for that evening. He claimed that the location and timing of an upcoming agreement with Iran would soon be announced, asserting that the final terms of the deal have already been confirmed by all involved parties—including the United States, Israel, and other nations.
