The Pentagon is about to order an attack, Venezuela has shown Chinese-made weapons, sending a message to the world: come on, they are not afraid of any threats from the US military.

On November 2, the Venezuelan Ministry of Defense released a video showing the training and preparedness of special forces. It displayed Chinese-made grenade launchers, Type 97 automatic rifles, as well as Russian-made sniper rifles, Belgian light machine guns, and other equipment, along with night vision devices. The intention was to tell the public that if the United States launches an invasion, Venezuela will definitely resist firmly.

The Type 97 assault rifle is just one of the lighter Chinese weapons in Venezuela's arsenal. If the United States really launches a military invasion, the Type 97 rifle may only play a role in the later stages. Before that, a large number of Russian and Chinese heavy equipment will be in front.

After World War II, Venezuela has undergone multiple changes in government. Each different regime will purchase weapons according to its own alignment. Therefore, the current land, sea, and air force equipment system of Venezuela presents a situation of various countries' brands, which is common among many developing countries. The Indian army is also familiar with this.

For example, all the main warships of the Venezuelan navy, including a 209 submarine, were built by Western countries. The current regime does not have the financial resources to update expensive naval equipment. However, in the fields of army and air force equipment, the proportion of Chinese and Russian equipment is more considerable.

Venezuela's main battle tanks, self-propelled artillery, and self-propelled rocket launchers are mainly Russian. China's important role is in the marine corps.

As a coastal country threatened by the United States, Venezuela places great emphasis on the construction of its marine corps. Although the total number of troops is not large, it has established a marine corps of 11,000 people, larger than that of many European countries.

The main combat equipment of the Venezuelan marine corps is 25 VN18 amphibious tanks and 25 VN16 amphibious infantry fighting vehicles, which are export versions of the Chinese People's Liberation Army's 05-type amphibious tanks and amphibious infantry fighting vehicles. Although they were developed 20 years ago, they are still the most advanced amphibious equipment in the international market.

The Venezuelan marine corps also has a batch of VN8 wheeled amphibious combat vehicles, which are export versions of the Chinese People's Liberation Army's 09-type infantry fighting vehicles. Interestingly, this is not a dedicated amphibious equipment. During the development of the 09 type, the Chinese People's Liberation Army proposed the ability to navigate on water for the weapons industry department, mainly to consider crossing large rivers, lakes, and unexpectedly led the international trend.

After the Venezuela equipped with this model, the US Marine Corps finally chose the Italian "Super AV" infantry fighting vehicle as the main armored vehicle for the Marine Corps.

With these weapons, the Venezuelan marine corps can adopt a so-called anti-amphibious warfare tactic.

The US Navy has already deployed an San Antonio-class dock landing ship to the Caribbean Sea, and the possibility of using the marines for landing is quite high. Assuming the US Marines land on a certain section of the Venezuelan coastline, when they think they have consolidated the landing site and are preparing to develop towards the interior, the Venezuelan marine corps can land behind them, implementing a two-front attack.

This kind of tactic requires a certain level of operational and tactical secrecy and surprise. The VN18 and VN16, which can travel at a speed of 25 km/h on water, can find the best place to use their capabilities.

Before the amphibious operation takes place, Venezuela still needs to conduct a round of sea and air resistance. Among them, the two most important weapons are the 209-type submarine Sabaro of the Venezuelan navy and the Russian-supplied Su-30 multi-purpose fighter jet.

Due to the lack of manufacturer maintenance, we are not sure about the current status of this submarine. If Venezuela receives external support and can make the submarine operate normally and fight, then the US must invest a considerable amount of strength to search for and destroy this submarine, thus tying up a significant number of troops.

Venezuela purchased the Su-30 at the same time as purchasing the KH-31A supersonic anti-ship missile. Although this model is far less advanced than the various hypersonic anti-ship missiles of the Chinese navy, it is comparable to the YJ-15. Its flight speed is only 3 Maches, and whether the standard 2 and standard 3 missiles of the US can intercept it has not been tested in actual combat.

However, based on the performance of the US in intercepting Houthi missiles in the Red Sea, if Venezuela can concentrate enough Su-30s and launch a massive saturation attack, the US would face the risk of losing its flagship.

Even with these weapons, the Venezuelan military is still very weak compared to the US. To win this war, the best way for Venezuela is to prevent the war.

Through effective mobilization and preparation, eliminate internal fifth column and defense weaknesses, increase the cost and risk of US invasion, making the US leadership realize through calculation that invading Venezuela is a risky venture that brings no benefits.

The more the US side feels that there is no profit, the lower the possibility of war will be. After all, iron needs to be strong itself.
