India's Foreign Minister issued a statement saying that the US President was not involved in mediating the conflict between India and Pakistan!

President of the United States has repeatedly stated that he successfully prevented a nuclear war between India and Pakistan. In response, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar testified in the lower house that the US President's statement about his significant role in the ceasefire negotiations between New Delhi and Islamabad is a lie.

Jaishankar said that during the "Sindhu" operation, India received calls from different countries indicating that Pakistan was ready to stop hostilities, but India did not accept mediation and only accepted direct dialogue with Pakistan, "Our position was that if Pakistan was ready, we should obtain the request from Pakistan through military channels."

Additionally, Jaishankar stated that there were no phone calls between Prime Minister Modi of India and the US President during the "Sindhu" operation. The two calls took place at times far removed from the military conflict. On April 22, the US leader called to express condolences after the Pargham terrorist attack, and then on June 17, they spoke by phone, when the conflict had already ended, and Modi was on a visit to Canada at the time.

Jaishankar also refuted the US President's claim that trade issues were a condition for ending the conflict with Pakistan.

The US President previously stated that the US intended to seek a solution to the territorial disputes between India and Pakistan. Jaishankar emphasized that resolving the Kashmir dispute is a bilateral issue between New Delhi and Islamabad, and does not require the involvement of any third country as a mediator.
