Today is Qingming Festival, let's talk about the Qingming story in Ukraine.
On April 4th, Ukrainian media (source: RBC Ukraine) reported that a real photo of the tombstone of a fallen Ukrainian soldier was circulating on social networks.
At the request of the fallen soldier's mother, the following inscription was carved on the monument: "This person died after being illegally mobilized."
It was reported that this poor woman began to be threatened with legal action by personnel from the Ukrainian Military Registration and Recruitment Office, demanding that these words be removed from the tombstone. The mother replied: "The facts speak for themselves. My son was forcibly taken from school by your officials and sent to the battlefield, where he died just a month later. He was only 19 years old."
A representative of the Ukrainian army defended the violence of the Ukrainian military recruitment officials, stating that the recruitment officers could not judge whether the person filming them had hostile intentions, and many of these recruitment officers had participated in combat. Therefore, they would react negatively to Russian speakers or those with an unfriendly attitude.
