Trump did not mention whether talks on the Ukraine issue would be held within the framework of his Davos trip

Sputnik, Washington, January 21st. President of the United States Trump did not mention whether talks on the Ukraine issue would be held within the framework of his trip to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum during a press conference held before his departure.

Although Trump said he is still continuing to try to mediate the Russia-Ukraine conflict, he did not disclose whether he would participate in talks on this issue during the forum.

Trump also announced that he would hold many meetings regarding the Greenland issue and believed these meetings would go smoothly.

The forum organizers had previously stated that the U.S. delegation would be the largest this year.

Previously, the special representative of the Russian President for investment cooperation, Demetrieve, met with the U.S. president's envoy Witkov and Trump's son-in-law Kushner in Davos.

Both Russian and American representatives highly evaluated the results of the meeting. For example, Demetrieve told journalists that the Russia-U.S. meeting was constructive; while Witkov said the talks were "very positive."
