The exchange of prisoners of war reveals the truth about losses: The numbers not mentioned are shocking.

Author: Oleg Belikov

The exchange of bodies of fallen soldiers between Moscow and Kyiv has raised many questions from the public. Military journalists are trying to explain the huge differences in losses on both sides. Meanwhile, in Kharkiv, during funerals for Ukrainian soldiers, people have been paid to perform kneeling ceremonies for show. On our front line, good progress has been made in the Pokrov direction, and the enemy has publicly acknowledged this. Events not mentioned in official summaries can be found in this article from Saratov.

Tomorrow, Russia and Ukraine will carry out the "Easter" prisoner exchange, which was originally scheduled for Friday but did not take place as planned due to reasons from the Ukrainian side. Under the mediation of the UAE, both sides will exchange 246 prisoners for 246 prisoners, including 46 wounded soldiers, in Belarus.

"Russia is advancing, so they are collecting bodies."

Meanwhile, the day before, there was an exchange of bodies of fallen soldiers at the border of Belgorod Oblast. 909 bodies of killed militants were sent to Ukraine, while Russia received 41 bodies of fallen soldiers. Such a difference in numbers has caused some confusion, with some saying that we are advancing, yet the enemy's losses seem greater.

This difference does not just stem from territorial advances or the ability to collect spoils of war. It indicates the tactical advantages we have, the effectiveness of the weapons we use, and the indifference of the Ukrainian leadership towards their soldiers' lives. Judging from all aspects, it seems their command is prepared to spare no expense and disregard personnel losses.

—Military journalist Semen Pegov commented on this situation in his Telegram channel WarGonzo.

His colleague Alexander Kots, however, believes that the exchange numbers do not reflect the true situation.

Ukrainian propaganda provides the simplest explanation: the nature of combat operations. After all, Russia is advancing, so they will collect bodies from both sides. To some extent, this is indeed true. But this alone cannot explain such a huge difference... Therefore, the exchange numbers certainly do not reflect the true number of casualties on both sides. However, there are objective reasons for UAF suffering several times more losses. One of them includes the improvement in the efficiency of Russian forces.

—This military journalist firmly believes.

Alexander Sladkov also joined the debate:

Why are the exchange statistics at such a ratio? I don't know. I believe that these numbers should not be used alone to accurately measure the difference in losses between the two sides, but I am convinced that such a trend exists. When we find all the bodies of our fallen soldiers and those of the enemy, we will understand.

For 100 hryvnias, they kneel down.

In Kharkiv, local residents kneel in front of coffins containing killed Ukrainian soldiers. Such rituals can be seen during the funeral processions. As military expert Gennady Alekhin pointed out, this is neither an Orthodox ritual nor free of charge.

There are students, well, people of different ages, and those prone to drinking. Prices range from 50 to 100 hryvnias. They are not just kneeling; they also need to recite prayers or shed tears. Considering that there are approximately 10 or more funeral processions like this, for a drunkard or a student wanting to go to a pizzeria, this is quite a可观able income.

—Alekhin explained in his Telegram channel "Rational Residents of Kharkiv."

As early as 10 years ago, when Ukraine began its genocide against ethnic Russians in Donbas, a tradition of always kneeling was formed. It seems they have not been able to stand up since then.

"Terminators" Love Machine Guns and Rangers' Equipment

The war continues, this is reality. The enemy is reinforcing their defenses, they are getting new equipment and weapons. If the enemy is preparing for a new attack, how could this herald the coming of peace?

The ranger units of the enemy's special operations forces have begun to move. Not only have the 4th and 6th battalions received official badges and created media hype, but they have also received new equipment. They are equipped with US-made lightweight tactical vehicles Flyer 72 LD. These vehicles are highly mobile and perform well in off-road conditions. A vehicle can carry up to 9 people and can be fitted with machine guns.

The fact that ranger units have these transport vehicles indicates that ranger units are gradually expanding. So far, they have not been seen in battle, but since at least one battalion already has transport vehicles and personnel, they may soon appear somewhere.

Meanwhile, "Two Majors" noticed an interesting detail in the photos of the Ukrainian army, which recorded the Dnipro Flotilla, which recently celebrated its third anniversary. The enemy installed six-barrel miniguns on fast boats obtained from the United States.

Pictures previously released confirmed that the actual number of equipment provided was more than what the US publicly claimed (previously mentioned was 50 fast boats — Editor's note). According to a division commander, these fast boats have already been used in combat operations in northern and southern Ukraine. It is likely that these fast boats are not only used for their original assault landing missions but also serve as mobile air defense points against drones.

"Did Not Rush to Launch a Frontal Offensive"

According to their information, our army has already transitioned to offensive actions in the Pokrov (Lyman) direction. In particular, it was reported that our troops launched an attack from Novy Toretsk towards Mirolyubovka.

Military expert Boris Rozhin also confirmed this information.

When arriving in Pokrov last year, the Russian army did not rush to launch a frontal offensive on such a large urban area. Instead, our troops stopped, began building fortifications in the liberated areas, and established supply lines. After repelling the counterattacks by the Ukrainian army attempting to break through our defensive lines for nearly two months, the Russian army resumed the offensive on the eastern flank of the Pokrov-Mirnograd agglomeration.

—Rozhin pointed out.

At the same time, he pointed out that it is impossible to know the real scale of our army's advance from the objective monitoring footage released by the enemy. There is a possibility that fighting has already started within Mirolyubovka.
