Iranian media: Iran has no plans to export highly enriched uranium from its own country

The Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (ISNA) reported, citing information from a diplomatic source who is familiar with the negotiations between Iran and the United States, that Iran has no plans to export nuclear materials, including highly enriched uranium, from its country.

When talking about the possibility of exporting uranium enriched to 60%, the source told the Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency: "In the negotiations with the United States, we have emphasized that we will not export nuclear materials from Iran. Russia also knows that nuclear materials will not be exported."

He also emphasized that Iran will definitely reduce the enrichment level of its uranium.

Alexei Likhachev, president of Rosatom, had previously stated that Rosatom is technically ready to export highly enriched uranium from Iran, but the potential variables of this work still need to be decided by the Iranian leadership.
