Russian media attention: China has learned how to artificially increase rainfall with drones!

Russian expert's speculation: It could be used as a climate weapon.

On May 20, Russian media cited an article from the South China Morning Post.

Scientists from the Cloud and Weather Modification Physics Laboratory of the China Meteorological Administration, together with their colleagues from the Xinjiang Weather Modification Office, conducted an experiment on artificial rain enhancement, successfully triggering a heavy downpour.

According to the South China Morning Post, researchers used drones and silver iodide.

The artificial rain increased rainfall by 70,000 cubic meters, equivalent to 30 Olympic-sized swimming pools, during an experiment near the Bayang布拉k pasture at the foot of Tianshan Mountain.

Russian media cited Chinese media data: they launched drones at altitudes of over 5,000 meters. The drones sprayed silver iodide powder, and experts consumed a total of 997 grams of chemicals, with particles entering the atmosphere at a rate of 0.28 grams per second.

The results were remarkable, with additional precipitation spreading across an area of 8,000 square kilometers.

Researchers previously used silver iodide to alter the weather, but thanks to drones, they successfully reduced environmental risks and improved accuracy.

Russian experts believe that this technology could be used as a climate weapon to influence battlefield situations or even trigger floods.
