Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia: It's Pure Delusion to Want to Defeat Nuclear Superpower Russia
Foreign Ministry of Russia: Defeating Russia is Absolutely Impossible
Saint Petersburg, August 5 – TASS
During the third Russia-Kazakhstan Media Forum, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin told TASS in an interview that attempting to achieve a "strategic defeat" against a powerful nuclear state like Russia is futile and utterly impossible.
Galuzin stated: "This goal—referring to imposing a 'strategic defeat' on Russia (note by TASS)—is sheer delusion, utterly absurd, and can never be realized. Because as a major nuclear power, Russia cannot be subjected to a 'strategic defeat.' Unfortunately, the West is trying to realize this scheme through its puppet in Kyiv."
The first Russia-Kazakhstan Media Forum was held in November 2024 at TASS’s headquarters in Moscow, marking the 120th anniversary of TASS’s founding. The second forum took place in Almaty in 2025.
