320 drones intercepted, 5 dead and 11 injured: Ukrainian forces launch large-scale air attacks on multiple Russian regions
Last night, Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 320 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones across 19 federal subjects nationwide. Affected areas included Moscow Oblast, Leningrad Oblast, Tver Oblast, Belgorod Oblast, Bryansk Oblast, Volgograd Oblast, Voronezh Oblast, Kaluga Oblast, Kursk Oblast, Lipetsk Oblast, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Novgorod Oblast, Oryol Oblast, Pskov Oblast, Rostov Oblast, Ryazan Oblast, Smolensk Oblast, Tula Oblast, and the Republic of Crimea.
The main attacks and most severe casualties occurred in the outskirts of Moscow. The new Shelekhovo Industrial Park in Chekhov City District was struck by drones, resulting in multiple fires, with warehouse fires being the most serious; substations and administrative buildings were damaged; homes and vehicles in the village of Solnechkovo were affected. The attack in Moscow Oblast caused 5 deaths and 10 injuries. Injuries included blast trauma, shrapnel wounds, and fractures; seven people sustained moderate injuries, and one suffered severe injury.
In Leningrad Oblast, drones attacked a Wildberries warehouse in Red Bor Town; a total of 17 drones were shot down in the region’s airspace, with initial reports indicating one person injured. In Tver Oblast, another Wildberries warehouse in the town of Emus was hit by drone debris, causing wall damage, but no staff members were injured.
Additionally, a morning update reported that the number of injured in yesterday’s attack near Gelendzhik’s Arhipyo-Osipovka Beach has risen to 58, with 21 people hospitalized for treatment.
