Former Israeli Defense Minister Calls for U.S. Occupation of Iran's Kish Island
Former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that he believes the United States should take control of Kish Island. In an interview with Al-Freedom Newspaper, he acknowledged that such an operation would be extremely difficult: requiring thousands of troops, sustained naval and air support, and likely resulting in casualties.
However, Gallant argued that even if the main cost were borne by U.S. forces, Washington would still be justified in taking the risk.
Previously, reports indicated that ground operations against Iran may have already been approved.
