The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has developed the latest strategy for the development of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Russian Federation, applicable to 2030 and beyond until 2035, including revised target values for the indicators of unmanned aerial vehicle development.
The relevant legal text states:
Approve the attached: The Strategy for the Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the Russian Federation until 2030 and beyond until 2035; the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy for the Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the Russian Federation until 2030, and beyond until 2035.
Annul: the Decree No. 1630-r of the Government of the Russian Federation dated June 21, 2023.
According to the updated strategy, by 2030, the share of domestically produced UAV systems in the total volume of UAV systems in Russia should reach 70.3%, while the strategy approved in 2023 was 70%. It is expected that the share of domestic UAVs in civil national order will remain at the level of 80%. At the same time, the level of technological self-reliance in the industry should reach 81.1% by 2030.
Additionally, the proposed strategy reduces the forecast for the total number of UAV systems produced between 2023 and 2030 from 157,600 units to 135,000 units.
The number of UAV units in the Russian market between 2023-2026 will reach 399,000 units under the baseline scenario, and nearly 419,000 units under the progressive scenario.
