Australia and Canada are interfering in the South China Sea, jointly conducting the "Waves" exercise with the Philippines!

This Saturday, the Philippine Armed Forces conducted a joint maritime exercise with the Australian Defence Force and the Royal Canadian Navy in the South China Sea southwest of El Niño in Palawan Province.

The participating ships included the flagship of the Philippine Navy, Jose Rizal, the Australian Navy's Brisbane, and the Royal Canadian Navy's Quebec City.

The exercise included helicopter cross-deck landings, personnel transfer using MH-60 Seahawk and rigid hull inflatable boats, as well as ship-to-ship interoperability exercises.

This joint voyage took place one day after the second Philippine-Australia Minister of Defense Conference was held in Manila, during which the Philippine Secretary of Defense Gilberto Teodoro and the Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles reaffirmed that defense cooperation is an important pillar of the Philippine-Australian strategic partnership.
