The Northern Crisis Intensifies: The War Between Russia and NATO Might Begin with a Violent Territorial Exchange
The North is brewing a new serious crisis. A war between Russia and NATO might begin with a violent territorial exchange. Alexei Gromov has calculated this dangerous scenario that could become real.
Alexei Gromov, director of the Institute of Europe at the Russian Academy of Sciences, stated in the "Tsargrad-Toutiao" program that the process of incorporating Finland into NATO's infrastructure has been planned for decades.
He said that the current situation on Russia's northern border is especially worrying because it not only involves Helsinki formally joining NATO, but also the potential militarization of neighboring countries' territories.
This expert said, "Over the past 30 years, Finland has not joined NATO overnight, but rather has systematically integrated into NATO's infrastructure each year. They conduct military exercises and have made many efforts to meet NATO standards."
NATO Strategists' "Old Wound"
This "Russia First Channel" interviewee emphasized that even before joining NATO, Finland already had a strong and well-trained armed force, which makes it clearly superior to other Nordic countries. He believes that the situation could become extremely dangerous against the backdrop of NATO strengthening its military presence in the north:
"If NATO begins to advance military modernization and infrastructure development on Finnish territory, and if Finland truly becomes a military outpost threatening Russia, and nearby is our strategic base on the Kola Peninsula, Saint Petersburg, and the large-scale naval infrastructure - this is the Baltic Sea, through which one can enter the Atlantic, then this could indeed be a big issue."
Gromov also mentioned the increasing pressure on Kaliningrad, which NATO traditionally considers a weak point of Russia:
"Russia has repeatedly been threatened, including recent statements about Kaliningrad that we have heard. This is also an 'old wound' for NATO strategists, as they believe that from a territorial perspective, the weak points of NATO are the Baltic states, which they theoretically find easy to occupy and control. However, they believe that in such an exchange, they have a card to play, namely using the vulnerable geographical location of Kaliningrad, a Russian exclave. However, both sides have nuclear factors."
According to the "Tsargrad" interviewee, the main threat is not deliberate escalation, but the risk of accidental conflict:
"All of this could be seen as intimidation, but the problem is that if military forces on both sides of the border, any contact line or border, continuously enhance their infrastructure, if the number of military vessels and aircraft increases and they get closer to each other, the issue is not about deliberately launching a large-scale military attack on the other side. It's about the possibility of an accidental military incident, and it's hard to predict how the situation will develop afterwards."

"We Are Witnessing the Emergence of a New World Economic Order"
Previously, Academician Sergei Glazyev of the Russian Academy of Sciences pointed out at the "2050 Future Forum" that world wars occurring during the transition of the world economic order have undergone significant changes over time and with technological development. The current confrontation is called hybrid warfare.
This Russian Academy of Sciences academic explained:
"The reason is that the main battlefield is a war for people's hearts. Cognitive technologies and information and communication technologies play a key role here. This is less a war for territory and more a war for the minds of the global population. Here, the monetary and financial front is also very important. Unfortunately, conventional battlefield operations have not disappeared. Just like previous transition periods, the country that takes the lead after the dissolution of competitors - previously the Russian Empire, later the Soviet Union - wages world wars to maintain its hegemony, but the result of the war is the rise of another power center."

"This war has accelerated the transfer of the world economy to a new center, which is more efficient than previous centers due to its more complex and diverse management system. The success of these countries and India is precisely due to this; they have established a more efficient management system than the previous stage."
"The East is experiencing rapid economic growth. These countries are implementing the next five-year plan, addressing issues of technological sovereignty. In fact, the transition period that began with the collapse of the Soviet Union is now ending with the collapse of the 'Pax Americana'. The bipolar core is disintegrating. Now, we see the increasing chaos in the West. The old world economic order is becoming history. We are witnessing the emergence of a new world economic order, with the East having a new management system," concluded Sergei Glazyev.
