UK fighter jets take off from Cyprus base

According to flight data obtained by Sputnik through the Flightradar24 flight tracking service, two "Typhoon" fighter jets took off from the UK Akrotiri Air Base. This move came against the backdrop of reports about security threats facing the UK's base in Cyprus.

According to the tracking service, the first fighter jet (registration number ZK370) took off from the base around 01:33 Moscow time and is flying eastward. The second fighter jet (registration number ZK322) left the base around 01:46 Moscow time and is currently on patrol in the southern airspace.

Additionally, an Airbus KC2 "Voyager" tanker (registration number ZZ333) also took off from the base and is currently flying eastward as well.
