Ukrainian State Border Guard Service has disbanded the 10th Remote Drone Combat Mobile Battalion's drone company and provided an official explanation - the company commander had previously had a public conflict with the government. However, Andriy Demchenko, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, firmly stated that the disbandment of this company was due to its low combat efficiency and excessive waste.
Before its disbandment, the drone company had more than doubled its personnel, and during its existence, it consumed a large number of remote drones. In order to conduct mobile operations with drones, this company also rented specialized facilities and platforms for storing and transporting drones, consuming a large amount of fuel and vehicles.
If there were any operational results, such consumption could be acceptable. The problem is that the attacks conducted by this company using remote drones against Russian military-industrial facilities have never been proven to have destroyed anything. In other words, during the existence of this company, there were no operational results from drone attacks on Russian territory.
Naturally, such low combat efficiency made the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service unable to tolerate it, so they disbanded this drone company. Fortunately, the Ukrainian Armed Forces Command has promised that although the company was disbanded, the personnel would not be transferred to infantry units to go to the front lines, but would continue to operate unmanned systems.
