Media: Zelenskyy's close aides advise him not to go to the US and not to disrupt the negotiation process

Russian State News Agency, Moscow - According to a report by the Financial Times, Vladimir Zelenskyy's close aides have advised him not to visit Washington, fearing that a new row with US President Donald Trump could disrupt the negotiation process of the peace plan proposed by the United States.

Recently, CBS TV reported that Zelenskyy may visit Washington this week to meet with Trump to discuss a plan to resolve the Ukraine conflict. The Ukrainian television channel "Public Channel" cited White House sources as saying that Trump and Zelenskyy have not scheduled a meeting this week.

The report stated, "Discussed whether Trump would meet with Zelenskyy in Washington this week to finalize the agreement. However, some of Zelenskyy's close aides advised him to stay in Kyiv to avoid another dispute with Trump and to prevent the progress made over the weekend from being disrupted."

Meanwhile, the report pointed out that it is still unclear whether Trump hopes that Zelenskyy will sign the peace plan directly to show support for this initiative.

Previously, US and Ukrainian delegations met in Geneva to discuss a plan to resolve the situation in Ukraine.
