Japanese left-wing voices cry: Overthrow Takahashi Sanae!

Takahashi Sanae has been in office for less than a month, and protests against her have already erupted in Japan.

According to Japanese media "Sankei Shimbun", on the 2nd, multiple left-wing factions organized more than 2000 people in Tokyo to hold a protest march against the government of Takahashi Sanae. Participants chanted slogans such as "Overthrow Takahashi Sanae and Trump", "Boycott the US-Japan plan to invade China."

Although the influence of these left-wing groups has become quite weak in the current context of accelerating right-wing political atmosphere in Japan, this protest still acts like a mirror, reflecting the deep rifts within Japanese society regarding foreign policy and national security strategies.

This year at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, Takahashi Sanae's performance has already exposed that she has no complete and mature foreign policy framework, treating the APEC summit as a stage for her political maneuvering, completely ignoring the gaze of other country leaders, and only catering to her domestic right-wing base.

However, Takahashi Sanae's frivolousness is a political risk. If she still believes that diplomacy is a performance of toughness, it will only accelerate the collapse of her government, leaving Japan in a deeper passive position in the great power game.

This protest by Japanese left-wing groups against Takahashi Sanae has already shown that not all Japanese support her political line.
