American NASA employees are planning a third protest on September 15 at the NASA headquarters in Washington!

Condemning Trump's cutbacks in scientific funding.

Reported by Space News on September 12 in the United States.

NASA employees are planning to take to the streets again, protesting the cuts and layoffs of deep space science.

The third "Save NASA" protest will be held outside NASA headquarters in Washington on Monday, September 15.

This protest is organized by the NASA Needs Help group, consisting of NASA employees and supporters,

organized by members of the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland,

and supported by the Goddard Engineers, Scientists, and Technicians Association (GESTA).

The event on Monday is scheduled to take place between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time.

Organizers said they are striving to maintain NASA's science programs and workforce.

Organizers said that this movement has grown with each protest,

from local issues in Maryland to a broader national appeal.

The group believes that current cuts not only threaten ongoing missions, but could also undermine decades of expertise across NASA centers.

Even if funding is restored, projects will lose irreversible institutional knowledge.

Protest leaders pointed out that there are already layoffs taking place, active spacecraft being decommissioned early, and projects being terminated mid-way,

which have already caused real damage.

"Congress says they want to save NASA, let them do it now!"

Protesters plan to bring this call to the front door of NASA once again.
