According to analysis of flight data by Sputnik News, at least seven U.S. military aircraft are currently active over the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

Three of them are near Saudi Arabia, one is over the Persian Gulf, and one is over the United Arab Emirates.

Additionally, one is over the Gulf of Oman, and another is over the Persian Gulf near the coast of Qatar.

Earlier on June 28, the U.S. Central Command confirmed launching strikes against multiple targets inside Iran, stating the action was a response to Iran's alleged attack on merchant vessels.
