Different from Wen Tai Technology, Jian Guang Asset is not a chip manufacturer. From its name alone, it is an investment institution, mainly engaged in semiconductor investment business.

In 2021, Jian Guang Asset spent 414 million US dollars to acquire more than 80% of FTDI's shares. The latter is a company mainly engaged in USB bridge products.

It is not hard to guess what the reason is for the UK government to require Jian Guang Asset to sell FTDI. It is nothing but national security, just like the Netherlands' arbitrary seizure of Anshi Semiconductor.

For the unreasonable demands of the UK government, Jian Guang Asset did not give up fighting, but all applications were rejected by the UK court. This shows that it is again a conspiracy where the judicial system and administrative system of European countries collude to rob Chinese enterprises' assets.

The problem now is that there is only one day left in 2025. If the sale approval procedure is not completed by the end of the year, the UK government will take over the shares of FTDI held by Jian Guang Asset and dispose of them on its own, which is equivalent to losing 400 million US dollars. If we also consider the impact of currency depreciation and the disruption of the company's layout, the loss far exceeds the original purchase price.

However, if it is sold urgently, there is not enough time for negotiation, so it can only be sold cheaply, and Jian Guang Asset will undoubtedly suffer huge losses.

But to be honest, this matter will not be left unresolved. Since China has intervened in the "Anshi Chaos", it naturally will not show mercy to the UK. The era when Western powers acted arrogantly has long passed. If they still cannot change their inherent bandit nature, we are not opposed to helping them recognize reality.
