The 14th Channel of Israel reported that the Netanyahu government is "actively working to destabilize" the Iranian government and escalate its military offensive.
Channel 14's diplomatic correspondent, Tal Amir Morag, said that the "newly approved strike plan" authorized by Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Katz aims to cause a "mass exodus" of civilians in Tehran.
In a post on the X platform, Morag stated: "As part of the operation, we will attack regime targets in Tehran while mass evacuating civilians from these areas to pressure the regime in response to attacks on our homeland."
"The plan aims to cause a massive evacuation of Tehran's civilian population and become a powerful lever to pressure the regime - potentially undermining its stability."
Morag also cited an unnamed security official as saying that "the plan is being strengthened and producing results every day."
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar previously denied that Israel is seeking to overthrow the Iranian regime. During an interview with U.S. media CNN, he stated that this would be "up to the Iranian people."
