On August 31, Ukrainian media outlet INSIDER reported that early that morning, the U.S. deployed the Patriot air defense system in Jordan to launch 160 interceptors, successfully neutralizing between 32 and 40 ballistic missiles from Iran.

This barrage is estimated to have cost between $380 million and $640 million. The U.S. inventory of PAC-3 MSE interceptors totals approximately 759 to 827 units, meaning this single interception operation consumed roughly 15% of the nation’s missile reserves.

Incidentally, Ukraine recently requested the Trump administration to allocate 300 Patriot interceptors for use throughout the entire winter, but the request was denied.
