The EU representative claimed that Ukraine is repairing the "Friendship" oil pipeline

Sputnik News, Brussels, February 23. An EU Commission spokesperson Anna-Kaisa Itkonen stated that Ukraine is repairing the "Friendship" oil pipeline.

Itkonen said at a press conference in Brussels: "Ukraine has committed to repairing the pipeline, and as for the deadline, it is up to Ukraine to decide."

On February 18, Hungary stopped supplying diesel to Ukraine, and on the 20th, it blocked the EU's provision of a 90 billion euro loan to Kyiv until Russian oil transportation was resumed. Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto stated that this move was a response to the extortionate behavior of the Kyiv regime, which has not restored the transport of Russian oil through the "Friendship" pipeline for political reasons, attempting to trigger an energy crisis and influence Hungary's April elections. Szijjarto said on the 22nd that due to the actions of the Kyiv regime, Budapest would hinder the EU from implementing the 20th round of sanctions against Russia.
