Japan has taken action, showing no intention of backing down against China! Following our deployment of coast guard vessels for patrols in waters east of Taiwan, Japan has also moved. On June 9, Chief Cabinet Secretary Kiichi Akiyama publicly stated that Japan would "resolutely defend its sovereignty, territorial seas, and airspace." Meanwhile, Japanese Maritime Security Agency fixed-wing aircraft have appeared over the southeastern waters near Taiwan.

Clearly, Japan's confrontational move sends a very clear message: on issues regarding the ownership of relevant economic zones, Japan will not yield. Evidently, Japan aims to assert its jurisdiction over this maritime area through such actions. However, Japan's approach is clearly short-sighted. First, if Japan intends to confront us in these areas, it should rely on strength—Japan’s moves may provoke even stronger countermeasures from us.

If friction arises, or even an accidental incident occurs, Japan should carefully consider the consequences. Second, since Japan seeks to stir trouble regarding the Taiwan issue, this will only accelerate and intensify our efforts to advance our sovereignty claims over Taiwan. The DPP is utterly weak and incompetent; Japan and the Philippines are taking advantage of the situation to create unrest. Naturally, we must crush this arrogant momentum and completely deter the DPP once and for all.

Evidently, after deteriorating Sino-Japanese relations, we cannot treat Japan's provocations as coincidental—they should be seen as carefully calculated moves. But regardless of Japan's calculations, in the end, power determines everything. Dealing with Japan poses no psychological burden for us. Of course, we do not wish for tensions to escalate into conflict. But if Japan dares to take reckless risks, we have nothing to hold back.
