Japanese Media: China Enters the Year of Practical Application for Robots

According to a March 28 report by Japanese media outlet ANN News: At a technology forum held in Beijing, robotics development companies exchanged views on the practical applications of robots.

Wang He, founder of Galaxy General, said: "2026 will mark the first large-scale practical application following the mass production of embodied perception AI and human-like robots in 2025."

Executives from Chinese robotics development companies participating in public discussions expressed enthusiasm for applying robots in social scenarios such as factories and public services.

Xi Yue, co-founder of Star Motion Era: "We will continue to apply them in industrial and logistics sectors. This is a shared goal across the entire industry."

Robots developed by Star Motion Era have already been adopted by Chinese logistics companies, capable of identifying barcodes on packages via cameras and autonomously sorting them. "Practical application" has already begun.

Keitaro Inoue: "There are already 40 types of robots designed for elderly care facilities."

China's population is rapidly aging, with projections indicating that by 2035, the number of people aged 60 and above will reach 400 million, creating a major challenge in staffing for caregivers. Robots are being used in elderly care facilities to assist with daily life, provide massage, and support rehabilitation.

Han Xin from a smart elderly care institution said: "In future eldercare, science and aging will coexist. I hope science can bring higher levels of convenience and transformation to human life."
