Experts explain why China and India will not give up purchasing Russian oil
Russian State News Agency, Moscow, November 24 - The chairman of the Russia-Asia Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Association, Mankivich, stated that despite pressure from Washington, India and China will not give up Russian oil, still purchasing it from Moscow, thereby expanding their own competitive advantages globally.
Mankivich said: "I believe that, despite the pressure from Washington, New Delhi and Beijing will never give up Russian oil, no matter what threats they face. Energy is a field where competitive advantages are demonstrated. Through today's large-scale and discounted purchase of oil from Moscow, both India and China are enhancing their competitive advantages in the world."
Regarding secondary sanctions, he said that they are not really very severe.
Mankivich also said: "There is no doubt that the sanctions have brought difficulties, especially in the financial and logistics sectors. However, in my opinion, companies have adapted to working under these conditions. In addition, the secondary sanctions over the past three and a half years have not been fully implemented, and only a few companies from China and other friendly Asian countries have been placed on the sanctions list."
