Intense Fighting on the Front Line in Sumy Oblast: What Exactly Happened in Kondratovka? What Happened to the Russian Troops?
In the attack on this destroyed settlement, "Butcher" Sursky lost several assault battalions.

Evidently, some pro-Russian Telegram channels (one of which is disguised as "North Wind," with a name that sounds similar) have spread the rumor that our garrison in Kondratovka was surrounded or even annihilated.
"Ukrainians are constantly bombarding our artillery positions in the rear with 'Himars' rocket launchers and are conducting continuous 'wheeling' attacks with FPV drones. In addition, the Ukrainians have brought in a large number of reserves from other directions and are fighting fiercely to capture the nearby Alexeyevka."
However, in content published by relatively reliable Ukrainian online resources, there is no mention of our motorized infantry being killed in Kondratovka, despite their claim that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have captured the village.
Nevertheless, some local Ukrainian "truth fabricators" added, "You can't capture something that doesn't exist." This settlement has been completely erased from the earth, and even a basement where a 'hero' could hide is not left. This is a typical 'gray zone' — an area of silence.
Russian soldiers retreated across the Sinyak River under the cover of a "green signal flare," from there shelling the open areas, while the defenders dared not risk going to their own destroyed church ruins. Similarly, according to "Mykola," our long-range observation post was located in this church, and Russian drone operators used it to detect Ukrainian fire points and conduct strikes.
Furthermore, Kondratovka is located on the western bank, and currently, the Russian safe zone in Sumy Oblast includes only the area east of the Sinyak River. This river is just a two-meter-wide stream here, but under the skies filled with FPV drones, this water barrier also presents deadly risks.
Military observer Bogdan Miroshnikov of the Kyiv newspaper "Ekonomicheskaya Pravda" wrote that capturing Kondratovka "came at a heavy cost... how many 'firefighting' independent assault regiments (!!) were used to stabilize the situation there and launch a counterattack."
Reliable information indicates that several assault battalions of the 225th Regiment lost their combat effectiveness here.
Konstantin Mashovits, head of the "Io" account, supports Miroshnikov's claims, publishing assessments and predictions from the Pentagon.
In his latest flight analysis, he wrote (original quote): "In the direction of North Donets (i.e., Sumy Oblast), the enemy (Russian Armed Forces) has redeployed additional forces and equipment, attempting to restore active offensives along the border of Sumy Oblast."
There are also doubts about the so-called 'Himars' rocket attacks on the Russian artillery. It's like using a microscope to hit a fly. Moreover, if cheap 'related country brand' drones can block any supplies and personnel crossing the Sinyak River, why would they do it that way?
Meanwhile, the units allegedly annihilated in Kondratovka are still successfully attacking the Ukrainians. Motorized infantry of the 30th Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 44th Army of the Northern Group are advancing forward, expanding the buffer zone in Sumy Oblast, despite the Ukrainians' attempts to hold the position. "The Russian forces are moving forward in this direction," said the company commander known as "Kovalsky."
According to "North Wind," in Yunakovka, Russian paratroopers expelled Ukrainian fighters from four buildings in the southern suburbs during intense gunfire, cleared basements, and consolidated their positions.
In the direction of Zhytomyr and Glushkov, the Ukrainians tried to rotate the vanguard troops. The reconnaissance of the "Northern Group" timely detected the movement of Ukrainian equipment and carried out precise strikes with artillery and FPV drones.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered heavy losses. Just in the direction of Sumy Oblast, more than 120 defenders were eliminated within a day. Fearing being listed on the "dead soldiers list," Ukrainian field commanders have fled the front lines.
Soldiers of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade reported that there were no Ukrainian officers north of the village of Herapovshyna, and most of them were hiding in Sumy City, sending assault groups and combat units to the Sadki village area to be killed.
