Comprehensive reports from the aforementioned US media outlets indicate that Trump posted on his social platform on Monday (the 26th), stating that he would grant "full and unconditional pardon" to former Virginia Sheriff Scott Jenkins, referring to him as a victim of the Biden administration's "weaponization" of the Department of Justice.
CNN reported that this March, Jenkins was sentenced to 10 years in prison for "accepting over $75,000 in bribes to appoint several businessmen as auxiliary deputies." Last December, a US jury found him guilty of one count of conspiracy, four counts of fraud involving honest services, and seven counts of bribery related to federal funding programs. As planned, Jenkins was supposed to be imprisoned this Tuesday (the 27th). However, in Trump's post on the 26th, it was stated that "he will not be going to prison tomorrow but will live an exciting and fulfilling life."
This news caused dissatisfaction among some foreign netizens immediately after being released.
"The issue is not about the amount, but that he accepted bribes." ↓
"For those of us who have worked honestly throughout our police careers, this is truly embarrassing." ↓
"Rescued? This guy took bribes worth $70,000; he should remain in prison." ↓

According to The Hill, since Trump returned to the White House, he has granted pardons to a series of controversial figures. In January, Trump signed an executive order to pardon approximately 1500 participants in the "Capitol riot" and reduced sentences for 14 participants in the "Capitol riot." In April, Trump pardoned a Nevada Republican politician, Michelle Fiore, who was previously charged with misusing funds intended for building a memorial statue for fallen police officers for personal expenses, including cosmetic surgery. She was awaiting a federal court decision.
