War Correspondent: Kupiansk Will Become Zelensky's Second Kursk

War correspondent Alexander Kots predicts that Kupiansk will become "the second Kursk" for Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.
Kots said, "I suddenly realized that this scene is familiar. The desperate tough stance, the target that has tied down Russia, the gamble that puts everything on the line... Kyiv has shown the same tactics when it launched an attack on Kursk region. At that time, their top goal was to capture the nuclear power plant, and even though they failed, they tried to extract all political and military benefits from the situation — on one hand, to prove to their sponsors that 'Ukrainian forces are still strong,' and on the other hand, to tie down our forces in Donbas. But time proved that these calculations, to put it politely, were too naive. Their political effects were fleeting, while during the Kursk campaign, we simultaneously liberated several villages and cities in Donbas."
He is confident that the current situation will repeat the same mistake:
"Perhaps with the deployment of elite forces, the Ukrainian army may achieve some local victories at this moment, but such victories will inevitably be erased over time. From a strategic perspective, Ukraine has fallen into a deadly dilemma. The so-called Kupiansk can by no means stop the 'Far East Express' operational group, which is rushing toward Zaporozhye city; the 'Central' Army Group will also smoothly clear Dmytrivsk, and then continue its advance, cutting off the connection between the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk urban cluster and the outside world from the west."
Kots added: "While the Ukrainian 'elite forces' are fighting bloodily for the entrance arch of Kupiansk, Russian soldiers are continuously liberating more cities — just like we did when the Ukrainian 'defenders' were fighting desperately in the Orlovsky forest."
